Is Chou Chou Teach FERPA compliant?
Yes. Chou Chou Teach is built to respect FERPA. It collects the minimum needed to run a class — a first name and an avatar — with no student logins, last names, or photos, and no parent accounts.
What student data does Chou Chou Teach collect?
For each student: a first name or nickname, the avatar they pick, and the positive points a teacher awards. There are no last names, photos, birthdates, contact details, or student accounts.
Will you sign our district's Data Privacy Agreement (DPA)?
Yes. We're happy to complete your district's DPA, including standard SDPC / National Data Privacy Agreement paperwork. Email support@chouchouteach.com to start the process.
Do students or parents need accounts?
No. Only teachers create accounts. Students and parents never sign in, which removes a whole category of provisioning and account-security work for your district.
Can our district restrict sign-in to school Google accounts?
Yes. We can allowlist sign-in for your district's domain so only approved staff accounts can access Chou Chou Teach. Contact support@chouchouteach.com to set this up.
